Ready-to-use spray for removing black/tannin stains
Tannin Remover is a ready-to-use product for removing stains and spots on wood caused by a reaction to acid and water. These spots tend to occur after coming into contact with moisture and metal (e.g. a moist soda can on a countertop). The product can be used on both untreated, oiled and waxed surfaces. The product can also be used after water damage on parquet, with urine or rust stains or in case of efflorescence on exterior wood (on the bottom of gates, doors, on walls, etc).
Do you have a stain of which you don't know the origin? Then always try to remove it first with the regular maintenance cleaners, Surface Care or All Natural Wood Cleaner Spray. If that doesn't help, take the Rubio Monocoat stain removers and use them in this order or until the stain is completely gone: Limespot Remover, Grease Remover and finally Tannin Remover.

- Black/tannin stains e.g. rings/stains from cans, flower pots, etc.
- Untreated, oiled and waxed surfaces
- After water damage on parquet, with urine or rust stains or in case of efflorescence on exterior wood (on the bottom of gates, doors, on walls, etc)
- Outdoor applications
- Note: Do not use RMC stain removers (Tannin, Grease and Limespot Removers) on surfaces pre-treated with reactive products (reactive stains).
Tips
- For the removal of stubborn stains, you may need to repeat the procedure above several times until the stains have completely disappeared.

After treatment with Tannin Remover or if the stain has penetrated too deeply into the wood, it may be necessary to locally reapply some oil in the original colour.
