Rubio Monocoat FR Base
STEP 1. Sand the surface scratch-free. Finish with screening net 100.
STEP 2. Vacuum thoroughly and eliminate remains of dust with Cleaner. Wait until the surface is completely dry (check the technical datasheet of Cleaner before use).
STEP 3. Apply FR Base by spraying the product with a pressure pump or back sprayer. Work in zones and level or smooth out with the Microfiber Pad. Avoid puddle formation (this results in shiny spots).
OR Apply Rubio Monocoat FR Base with a brush or roller. Then polish with a polishing machine with a white pad (polishing rag). Handle zones from 5 to 10 m² at a time.
STEP 4. Allow the surface to dry. The drying time is approximately 12 hours at room temperature (depending on ventilation and humidity).
STEP 5. Break the raised wood fibres with a floor polisher equipped with a red Rubio Monocoat Pad and vacuum afterwards.
Rubio Monocoat FR Oil
STEP 6. Take the FR Oil 2C and stir the A component until a homogenous mixture is obtained. Carefully add the B component with a ratio of appr. 3 units A to 1 unit B and mix carefully (1 to 2 minutes).
STEP 7. Work in zones of 5-10 m². Start each zone by treating the borders with a beige or red Rubio Monocoat Scrubby pad. Then apply a small quantity of FR Oil 2C every other 0.5 metres using a brush. Spread out in the direction of the wood using a polishing machine with a beige or red 16 inch Rubio Monocoat pad.
*Spatula method: spread out FR Oil 2C with a stainless spatula in zones which can be finished in maximum 30 minutes (including steps 7 and 8).
STEP 8. Thoroughly remove all excess oil with a cloth or a polishing machine with a white 16 inch Rubio Monocoat pad.
STEP 9. After having finished all the zones, pass again with a new white Rubio Monocoat pad. Now the surface should feel non-sticky.
STEP 10. You can walk on the floor after about 24 hours (covering the floor should only be done after 5-7 days
